We have already been treated to some great character posters for The Huntsman: Winter's War this week and now the first full-length trailer for the movie has finally arrived.

The Huntsman: Winter's War

We did get a little trailer teaser earlier in the week, but this is what we have been waiting for... it doesn't disappoint and it looks like it is going to be an action-packed ride.

The Huntsman: Winter's War sees Chris Hemsworth reprise the title role for the first time since Snow White and the Huntsman back in 2012. Oscar winner Charlize Theron is also set to return as Ravenna.

There are two big additions to the cast list as Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt are also on board Freya and warrior Sara. And you can see all of them in action in this terrific new trailer:

Hemsworth, Theron, Blunt, and Chastain are joined on the cast list by Nick Frost, Colin Morgan, Sam Claflin, Rob Brydon, and Sheridan Smith.

The movie sees Cedric Nicolas-Troyan take over the director's chair from Rupert Sanders as he makes his feature film directorial debut. Producer Joe Roth, who also helped steer Maleficent and Alice In Wonderland to huge success is also on board.

Long before the evil Queen Ravenna (Theron) was thought vanquished by Snow White's blade, she watched silently as her sister, Freya (Blunt), suffered a heartbreaking betrayal and fled their kingdom. With Freya's ability to freeze any enemy, the young ice queen has spent decades in a remote wintry palace raising a legion of deadly huntsmen - including Eric (Hemsworth) and warrior Sara (Chastain) - only to find that her prized two defied her one demand: Forever harden your hearts to love.

When Freya learns of her sister's demise, she summons her remaining soldiers to bring the Magic Mirror home to the only sorceress left who can harness its power. But once she discovers Ravenna can be resurrected from its golden depths, the wicked sisters threaten this enchanted land with twice the darkest force it's ever seen. Now, their amassing army shall prove undefeatable... unless the banished huntsmen who broke their queen's cardinal rule can fight their way back to one another.

I have to admit, I am quite a fan of the first film and I cannot wait to see what they deliver this time around - it really does look like it is going to be one of the biggest hits of the spring.

The Huntsman: Winter's War is released 22nd April 2016.
