The Place Beyond The Pines

The Place Beyond The Pines

There are some terrific movies heading our way in April and The Place Beyond The Pines.

Ryan Gosling looks set to be back to his best as he takes on the central role in a movie that sees him reunite with director Derek Cianfrance.

The next couple of months looks set to belong to Gosling as he has a couple of really great roles on the horizon - Luke being one of them.

If you are as excited about this movie as we are then you will be thrilled to hear that we have a great new trailer for the movie for you to check out:

As if having Gosling on your cast list was not exciting enough Bradley Cooper is also set to star in the movie.

The Place Beyond The Pines will mark the first time that Gosling and Cooper have worked together - bearing in mind that the two of them are at the top of their game combination promises to be explosive.

This is the first movie for Derek Cianfrance since Blue Valentine and he always seems to make intense and dramatic movies; The Place Beyond The Pines looks set to follow that tradition.

The Place Beyond The Pines is the first of the post Oscar dramas that is not to be missed and I am expected some great performances.

A mysterious and mythical motorcycle racer, Luke, (Gosling) drives out of a travelling carnival 'globe of death' and whizzes through the backstreets of Schenectady, New York desperately trying to connect with a former lover, Romina, (Mendes) who recently and secretly gave birth to the stunt rider’s son.

In an attempt to provide for his new family, Luke quits the carnival life and commits a series of bank robberies aided by his superior riding ability.

The stakes rise as Luke is put on a collision course with an ambitious police officer, Avery Cross, (Cooper) looking to quickly move up the ranks in a police department riddled with corruption.

The sweeping drama unfolds over fifteen years as the sins of the past haunt the present days lives of two high school boys wrestling with the legacy they’ve inherited. The only refuge is found in the place beyond the pines.
