The Rover

The Rover

Guy Pearce is set to team up with Robert Pattinson this summer for The Rover: if you are looking for a movie that is a little different this summer this could be the film for you.

The Rover marks the return of David Michôd to the director's chair - he gave us the fantastic Animal Kingdom - has he reunites with Pearce for a second project together.

A terrific new trailer has been released for the film, and we have it for you to take a look at:

Pearce and Pattinson take on the central roles in the film, but a great support cast has been assembled as Scoot McNairy, David Field and Anthony Hayes are all also on board.

Pattinson has some great film projects ahead of him, and I can't wait to see him truly move away from his Twilight image.

The Rover looks set to be one of the movies that really will help him on his way. Really looking forward to seeing his performance.

With society in decline, the rule of law has disintegrated and life is cheap. Hardened loner Eric (Pearce) travels the desolate towns and roads of the scorched and dangerous Australian outback.

When a brutal gang of thieves steals his car and only remaining possession, they leave behind the wounded Rey (Pattinson) in their wake.

Forcing Rey to help track the gang, Eric gives chase. Determined beyond reason, unrelenting in the pursuit of his prey, Eric will go to any lengths to take back the one thing that matters to him.

The Rover is released 22nd August.
