Trap For Cinderella
Based on French writer Sebastien Japrisot’s cult novel and shot on location in both London and France, ‘Trap For Cinderella’ stars some of the UK’s finest rising young talent, - Tuppence Middleton, Alexandra Roach and Aneurin Barnard - alongside Kerry Fox, Frances de la Tour and Emilia Fox.
Directed and adapted for the screen by acclaimed director Iain Softley (‘Backbeat’, ‘Wings of the Dove’, ‘Inkheart’), the film tells the story of two inseparable female friends whose lives are shattered when a fire strikes, killing one of them and leaving the other with horrific, disfiguring burns and total amnesia.
Following extensive plastic surgery and aided by reading extracts from her friend’s diary, her memory begins to return and she slowly starts to piece together the events which led up to the fire.
This stylish psychological thriller is a tale of obsession, sexuality and deception set against a backdrop of London’s underground club scene and a rural French idyll with a plot of complex twists and turns which lead to an unexpected and shocking conclusion.
