Unbroken

Unbroken

We are huge fans of Jack O'Connell here at FemaleFirst, and he will return to the big screen at the end of the year with Unbroken.

Unbroken is one of the most anticipated films of the year, as Angelina Jolie is back in the director's chair for the first time since she made her debut with In the Land of Blood and Honey.

O'Connell takes on the central role of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by the Japanese during the Second World War.

O'Connell has already been whipping up a storm this year with Starred Up and '71, but Unbroken looks set to send his star rocketing even further.

The brand new trailer for the film is here and we have it for you to take a look at:

However, Unbroken is not all about O'Connell as Jolie has brought together a very exciting cast, as Jai Courtney, Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, Luke Treadaway, and Fin Wittrock are all on board.

Unbroken is an epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis 'Louie' Zamperini (O’Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII - only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.

Unbroken is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender, and is set to be one of the must see December movies.

Unbroken is released 26th December.
