There are only a couple more weeks to go until X-Men: Apocalypse finally hits the big screen... it really is promising to be the May movie that's not to be missed.
This is the first X-Men film to be released since the huge success of Days of Future Past two years ago and is marks the return of Bryan Singer to the director's chair.
This is the first film for Singer since Days of Future Past and the fourth X-Men film of his directing career to date. I love it when Singer is at the helm of this franchise and I can't wait to see what he delivers next.
X-Men: Apocalypse is going to be a mix of franchise favourites and new faces - which is demonstrated in this new clip, which features Jennifer Lawrence (Nightcrawler), Ben Hardy (Angel), and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler). Take a look:
Hardy and Smit-McPhee are two of the new additions to the cast list and will be joined on by Oscar Isaac, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, and Alexandra Shipp.
There are many familiar faces returning as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, and Rose Byrne are back as Charles Xavier, Magneto, Beast, Quicksilver, and Moira MacTaggert.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
I am a huge fan of the X-Men movies and X-Men: Apocalypse looks set to be one of the biggest instalments yet.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 18th May.
