Counting Crows were the first band in the O2 Wireless Festival’s 4-year history to perform in front of a sell-out crowd in London’s Hyde Park. Following this achievement, Live Nation is proud to present the band during their much awaited Autumn tour of the UK. Featuring special guest Ben Folds and Melee as support, this promises to be a show not to be missed.

Counting Crows are a global phenomenon with a host of multiple platinum albums and Top 10 chart placings worldwide. Counting Crows have been a huge presence in the music world; from initial hit single Mr.Jones to 2005’s Accidentally In Love from the Shrek 2 soundtrack which saw the Californian band perform at the Academy Awards. New album Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings released on March 24th saw the band split their musical personality with the rock Saturday Nights produced by Gil Norton (of Pixies and Foo Fighters fame) whilst the more acoustic Sunday Mornings portion sees Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Iron and Wine) at the desk.

Over the last 15 years, Ben Folds’ first-class melodic gifts, irony-laced lyrics, and punk-rock tendency to play piano as it were a contact sport have earned the North Carolina native a legion of devoted fans of all ages. Ever popular, Ben Folds has a much anticipated new album “Way To Normal” scheduled for release on September 29th, which features an exuberant raucous mix of sure-fire crowd pleasers alongside cheerful snark-fests and thoughtful, moving ballads, all with Ben’s trademark laugh-out-loud humour and heart-breaking tenor voice.

Influenced by the songwriting classicism of Elton John, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and neo-soul star John Legend, Melee present their own style of carefully crafted melodic pop on ‘Devils & Angels’, the quartet’s debut album, released n April 3rd. The songs, which range from driving pop-rock anthems to uplifting power ballads, are characterized by solid hooks, lilting melodies, and front man Chris Cron’s soaring vocals and expressive piano-playing.

Under the banner “Counting Crows – Live from Hyde Park”, ticket buyers will be offered a link to download five free live tracks of Counting Crows’ spectacular live performance from their recent headlining appearance at their sell-out date at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, London.
