Andy Chandler On Tour

Andy Chandler

The fantastic Andy Chandler gets ready to take centre stage on his eagerly awaited debut tour taking in 12 cities across the UK.

The wonderfully talented pianist will be kicking off a number of highly anticipated shows starting in London, dynamically executing his soulful pop infused melodies at venues across the country. Hotly tipped as an emerging pop talent a la Robbie, Andy shares his soulful influences with artists such as Daniel Merriweather, James Morrison and Paolo Nutini.

His unique style has developed over the years taking in a variety of genres. As a classically trained pianist, he began writing songs at the age of eleven years old with inspiration from the likes of blues and soul legends Ray Charles, Tom Waits and Otis Redding.

Stockport-born Andy grew up around the flourishing indie scene in Manchester, which also played a big part in developing his style. The fusion of sounds created something quite special, compelling pop with soul and indie influences. His repertoire of catchy songs is supported by strong vocals with a diverse range. Andy has played over 150 gigs in the UK and has wowed the audiences with his amazing live performance.

Having recently been in the studio with producer whizz Fred Ruddick (No Fakin’, 6ix Toys), Andy is ready to showcase his newly recorded material. He’s also teamed up with blues veteran Terry Butters for an exciting collaboration, plus the beautiful vocals of Miss Afrika on a number of songs including ‘Tears’.

Back in 2008, Andy was chosen to accompany award-winning soul singer Nate James on his UK tour, which led to some further high profile gigs in London and on the celebrity party circuit. His song ‘Playboy Money’ was also featured on the spin-off film ‘Coronation Street: Out Of Africa’, which sold over half a million copies. After high demand, near sell-out dates and great crowds, Andy’s debut tour was the next logical step in his career and it’s already causing quite a stir.

Catch Andy’s new material showcased live at a date near you – definitely a one to watch!
