Spinal Tap Announce 2009 'World Tour'

Mock-rockers Spinal Tap have announced a 'One Night Only World Tour' for later this year.

The fictional band will celebrate the 25 years since the release of cult film 'This Is Spinal Tap' with a date at Wembley Arena on June 30.

David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) told Clickmusic.com: "This show will be dedicated to all of our drummers who have passed on, either to their reward or to middle management at Sainbury's."

Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) added: "If we're going to do a World tour on only one night, at least it's this world."

Support will come from The Folksmen, immortalised in Christopher Guest's film 'A Mighty Wind'. Tickets will be on sale from April 9
