The Saw Doctors - whose album “To Win Just Once - Best of The Saw Doctors” has been certified platinum this week in Ireland - will embark on a nineteen date UK Tour this November & December.

This year, The Saw Doctors will celebrate 21 years on the road as a working band - back in 1988, Mike Scott of The Waterboys discovered The Saw Doctors in the back bar of The Quays Pub in Galway and promptly invited the Tuam lads to tour with The Waterboys on their Fisherman's Blues jaunt around Ireland and the UK.

Last October, The Saw Doctors reached Number One in the Irish Music Charts with their rocked up version of the Sugababes song, About You Now - it was the first time in seventeen years that The Saw Doctors reached Number One in Ireland.

As part of the bands 21st Birthday celebrations, the band’s own Shamtown Records will release a 22 track "To Win Just Once – The Best of The Saw Doctors" in the UK on 23rd November.  - the "Best Of" collection will include the bands Irish Number One's, I Useta Lover, Hay Wrap, N17 and About You Now, as well as their three UK Top Thirty hits, World of Good, To Win Just Once, and Small Bit of Love. The album is preceded by a brand new UK single “She loves me, she Loves me not” which is out now.

This summer, The Saw Doctors have played major festivals such as Cambridge Folk Festival, Oxegen in Ireland, The Tonder Festival in Denmark and the Cape Cod Melody Tent Festival in Massachusetts.  Already this Autumn has seen the Saw Doctors travel the UK on a promotional signing tour and have been confirmed to appear on BBC TV’s “Children in Need” in Northern Ireland performing “About You Now” & “To Win Just Once” with an interview with Eamon Holmes on Friday the 20th November.
