Ariana Grande - 'Break Free'

"Now that I've become who I really are" and "I only wanna die alive" don't really make sense in Ariana Grande's 'Break Free', but somehow Max Martin fought Grande about keeping them in the song, and won.

"I need to shake it off and let it go and be a little less rigid and old" Grande said to Time following the song's release.

The Rolling Stones - '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction'

An extra syllable would have to be added to the chorus of this song to make it grammatically correct - "I can't get any satisfaction" - which would throw the entire song off-kilter.

Tina Turner - 'What's Love Got To Do With It?'

Though I'm not sure the song would have been ruined if 'got' was changed to 'have', this is just an iconic classic that would sound strange if ANY changes were made to it.

Justin Timberlake - 'What Goes Around... Comes Around'

'When you cheated, girl, my heart bleeded, girl' - it bleeded, did it Justin? We'll let you off, because of that smile and your passion for rhyming...

Lady Gaga - 'Bad Romance'

'You and me could write a bad romance' - that would be 'you and I', Gaga! Something you should know considering the name of one of your songs! Oh, wait...

Lady Gaga - 'You & I'

THIS one should be 'you and me'! The Lady is let off though - both songs are incredible.

Fergie - 'Fergalicious'

'T to the A to the S-T-E-Y, girl, you're tasty' - Fergie! Only one woman is allowed to mispell 'tasty', and she's a fictional character in Orange is the New Black... Despite that, 'Fergalicious' is a brilliant pop bop.

Backstreet Boys - 'I'll Never Break Your Heart'

'As time goes by, you will get to know me a little more better' - excusé moi? A little more better? Hopefully one day she'll know you the betterest.

Bill Withers - 'Ain't No Sunshine'

So, he's basically saying through a double negative in the title and repeated lyrics throughout that there IS sunshine when 'she' is gone. Not the point of the song we would hope, unless of course he meant it this way, or even literally... then the song changes completely. It's dark.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys - 'Empire State of Mind'

Would you like to visit the 'concrete jungle where dreams are made of'? This one... OK we can't defend this one. It's just bad writing. Artistic license, we guess?
