So once again we’re baffled by the extensive list of nominees for the annual round of back-slapping and champagne that comes with the awards season as we think, “how the hell did that get a nomination” despite the fact we’re supposed to be proud of our musical offerings where we smile and show the finger to the US music scene as we pay homage to our own ‘fabulous’ acts.
Why then, you might wonder, are Duffy and Coldplay dominating the whole shebang? In order to bring some light relief to this year’s proceedings, your favourite music commentator (that would be me) has made her predictions on who I think should take home that wonderful little statue.
