1 month ago 13th Oct 10:59

A British music artist breaking the mould of conventional pop

Mikal, the industry’s newest solo artist, is set to make it big in 2009, following the success of his debut single, Crazy Day.

The Darlington born musician is gearing up for the release of his album, London Made Me Do It – a collection of electro-tinged pop tracks mixed with funky beats which has been produced by Ben Jones.

Mikal’s album, is a self reflecting account of his daily experiences in London; the pace of life and variable social interaction any of us could potentially experience in a day, a month or a year.

Mikal draws much of his inspiration from artists such as Lily Allen, Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Prince. His sound has a cool electro tinged pop vibe and working with Ben Jones to produce his debut album has resulted in an album that fuses pop music with funky beats for a 2009 audience.

Mikal, 26 discovered a love of music from an early age, and has been writing songs since the age of 12. After travelling the globe, Mikal settled in London, his debut album is a reflection of his first few years in the city and his sound has been influenced by interactions with people he knows and the experiences he gained from his travels around the world.

His debut single Crazy Day is available for download along with a dance mix mixed by DJPDance for 79p through all major online music stores. London Made Me Do It will be available in February 2009.
