Described as the kids of Death From Above 1979, ELO, The Stooges, Justice and White Zombie; Turbowolf are building an electronic noise temple above the crumbled pillars of rock music.
Godzilla guitar riffs battle broken junk-store keyboards, while huge choruses smash into unhinged freak-outs. Constantly striving for new musical territory, the band are putting innovation, energy and fun back into rock n roll.
Their flamboyant, wall shaking live shows are rammed with a patchwork crowd of rockers, indie kids, electro nerds and ugly stinking weirdos. Turbowolf have torn up stages with the likes of Foals, 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Crystal Castles, The Faint, Holy Fuck & Chrome Hoof.
No surprise then that they have also just been invited to play at this year’s SXSW ‘09 Festival & Canadian Music Week and are also playing New York in between, as part of AIM’s US mission covering all three events. Turbowolf will also be playing at Bestival in September. More recently Steve Lamacq has been playing Turbowolf on his Radio 1 New Music show.
