Nineties Pinups countdown - Number 9

Scott Robinson - 5ive

Walk into any teenage girls bedroom and you will usually find her walls plastered with posters of the popstars she wants to marry; usually with their perfectly coiffured hair and fake white smiles beaming right back at you.

So we at FemaleFirst have decided to count down the Top 10 Nineties pin up icons, who we were constantly cutting out of Smash Hits and Top Of The Pops magazines and carefully blue-tacking to our walls, school books and mirrors.

Number 9 - Scott Robinson from 5ive

Scott Robison was the ‘cheeky chappy’ who made up one fifth of the hugely successful , and aptly names, 5ive.

The band came to formation in 1997 by the same team behind the Spice Girls and during its lifetime managed to clock up 20 million record sales, 11 top ten singles and four top ten albums before calling it a day in 2001.

It was no surprise then, that Scott and his fellow band mates captured thousands of girls’ hearts in the process.

The thing with 5ive was that each band member appealed to every teenage girl’s appetite, with the cute Scott’s band mates each having something different to offer: Richie Neville - the cute one, Jason ‘J’ Brown - the bad boy, Richard ‘Abs’ Breen - the muscled ladies man.

However, for fans of Scott, there were two hard blows to come in September 2001 as the band announced their split on the 27th and then the next day Scott wed his childhood sweetheart.

I know I was one of those who tore down all my posters in frustration at the fact that the man of my dreams had just abandoned me and left me to find a new object of desire, but all is not lost, for any real die-hard Scott lovers he now runs an autograph collectors shop in Essex.

See who made it to number 8 in our countdown very soon!
