The sensational Baseballs scored another homerun after a phenomenal year at the top of the charts, their first single Umbrella, taken from their debut album Strike, has now topped 4.7million hits on YouTube, leaving no question as to why 2010 is set to be the year of Baseball mania!
In addition, The Baseballs have bagged themselves the much coveted “Best National Newcomer” award at last night’s Echo Awards in Berlin. The awards- deemed the European Grammy’s celebrates the most successful acts from the previous year. Other big winners on the night included Robbie Williams (6 previous awards) and with best International Male and Lady GaGa, who was awarded Best International Female.
This wonderful achievement commemorates The Baseballs unfathomable success over the past year across Europe with their album soaring to #1 in multiple countries, going triple platinum in Finland, double platinum in Sweden and Gold in Norway, as well as a Platinum #2 album in Switzerland.
