I almost screamed my head off with excitement when I heard Green Day were making a ‘comeback.’

I put ‘comeback’ in commas because, to be honest they’ve never really left my life, as I’m a little bit of a fan of the pint-sized trio - yet, as they are releasing new material, I think that joyous news is worthy of a scream!

Okay, so I haven’t gotten my paws on the album, 21st Century Breakdown just yet, but I do have a tasty little nugget of joy in the form of Know Your Enemy, and because I’m such a geek, it hasn’t gone a day without getting a least 10 listens.

What’s more, and this you might need to sit down for… those kids at Radio One have even been giving the single a bit of airplay… to be fair though, they only play about ten songs over and over again, so for Green Day to actually get in there is pretty big news!

So, if you’re stuck for a CD to keep you occupied this weekend, why not ditch Lily Allen, and get your listening gear around some decent music?
