Being 1998's best-selling single worldwide, there's no surprise that the song has more awards that you can shake a stick at! Some of them include the 1997 Academy Award for Best Original Song as well as dominating the Grammy Awards of 1999, winning Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television.

It also won the Golden Globe Award in 1998 and the Billboard Music Award for the Soundtrack Single of the Year, Blockbuster Entertainment Award for the Favourite Song from a Movie, Billboard Latin Award for the First English-language Song to Top Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks Chart, Japan Record Award for the Special Achievement and Japanese Gold Disc Award for the Song of the Year.

Proving a favourite with couples, the song appeared on The Hits' 50 Greatest Love Songs at number 3 in 2006 and it also reached number on in VH1's "50 Best Movies Songs." Also, in a 2006 poll for a Channel 5 program Britain's Favourite Break-up Songs, "My Heart Will Go On" was voted tenth.

As one of the most popular 'wedding songs' of all time, this is one song which will live in the hearts of hopeless romantics for years to come, and with a voice like Celine’s belting out the high notes; who could blame it?
