Alexa Goddard is a success story like not many we've seen before.
As one of the ten most subscribed to UK musicians in the history of YouTube - and with over 40 million views for the videos she's uploaded to-date - she's already garnered a strong fanbase which led to her cover of 'Turn My Swag On' entering the UK top 40 when it was made available on iTunes.
On the back of this she was able to buy her parents a house, all leading up to her then signing a major label deal with Island Music/Universal.
Now she's preparing to release her debut single 'Marilyn', for which the lyric video was released yesterday.
The song's a little slice of pop heaven, sounding a little like Cher Lloyd in places but showcasing Alexa's unique style and talent in others.
