Bonnie Tyler will return to screens tonight - October 11 - as she appears in promotional clips for this year's Children In Need appeal.

Bonnie said of her involvement: “Every year BBC Children in Need gets bigger and bigger, it’s amazing. It’s fantastic to be involved as you know that it’s going to make a difference”.

Asking members of the public to 'Be a Hero' by fundraising, the trails will also feature 'BearFaced' - a campaign to have women go make-up free in exchange for sponsorship - which Arlene Phillips, Laura Whitmore and Kimberley Walsh will front.

Sarah Monteith, Director of Marketing and Fundraising for BBC Children in Need, said: “With her iconic song Bonnie was the perfect choice to help celebrate our own fundraising heroes, and it’s an absolute pleasure to have her on board with this year’s campaign. With a tongue-in-cheek and really upbeat feel, we're confident these trails can help us towards our most successful Appeal to date.”
