Carrie Underwood was the recipient of the top prize at last night's CMT Music Awards.

The blonde beauty won Video of the Year at the annual country music awards ceremony for her song, 'See You Again', coming ahead of fellow stars Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift.

Husband-and-wife duo Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were also among the big winners, earning Male Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, respectively.

'The Voice' USA coach had more reason to celebrate as Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope - whom he mentored to victory on the singing competition - also won an award for Breakthrough of the Year, which he presented.

Blake said: "I honestly am shocked to be standing here holding this. I'm freaking out because Cassadee won, I'm so excited for her, so y'all have made this already an unbelievable night for me."

Country heartthrob Luke Bryan took home two awards including Collaborative Video of the Year for 'This is How We Roll', his collaboration with band Florida Georgia Line, and CMT Performance of the Year for his duet with Lionel Richie on Lionel's hit 1983 song 'All Night Long'.

The shocked star said: "I won an award with Lionel Richie. That's all I gotta say."

In addition to his wins, Luke joined Florida Georgia Line in a spoof video of the infamous elevator fight between Solange Knowles and her brother-in-law Jay Z.
