Lawson are back this week with their brand new single 'Roads', ahead of its official release this coming May through Polydor Records.

As the first track to be taken from their eagerly-anticipated new album, it was recorded in Nashville at Blackbird Studios and sees Andy Brown, Ryan Fletcher, Joel Peat and Adam Pitts mature as artists and coming together of age as a band.

Four years on since writing their top 5 debut album 'Chapman Square', 'Roads' is the first taster of what's to come in the coming weeks and months as frontman Andy Brown hones his craft as a songwriter.

He says of the group's comeback: "It was important for us as a band to come back with something fresh and exciting. 'Roads' feels like a step forward, and explores addictions people can go through. The writing and recording process at Blackbird Studios in Nashville allowed us to test ourselves and try new sounds and directions. We're really proud of it."

Lawson will play the following shows this coming spring to showcase their new material:

  • Manchester Gorilla - March 30
  • London Scala - March 31
  • Glasgow Garage - April 2

Further details surrounding their album and more live dates are to be announced soon.
