In today's Daily Rap Flipmode change to FMS, Twista dropped from label, Foxy Brown album pushed banck and Kanye West's mother to be buried in Oklahoma.
Flipmode no more
The faction headed up by Brooklyn based rapper Busta Rhymes has changed its name to FMS and are void of the leading man, Busta Rhymes. FMS, Famous Millionaire Squad, consists of Busta's cousin Rampage, Busta's hypeman Spilff Star, femcee Rah Digga and Baby Sham. The group have literally taken a back seat while Busta has taken his career to another level and due to recent legal issues facing the rapper, his crew feel that they have to take matters into their own hands.
Rampage spoke out about the demise of Flipmode in a recent interview and affirmed the decision to pursue their own endeavors " we just decided to do our own thing...It's not under Flipmode anymore. It's under FMS, just me, Sham, Digga, and Starr and FMS stands for Famous Millionaire Squad."
Twista dropped
There has been rumors spreading that the fastest rapper in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records, Twista is being dropped from his Atlantic Records Label home after disappointing sales of his recent album Adrenaline Rush 2007. Twista born Cavalier Terrell Mitchell has been signed to Atlantic Records since 1997 after he stirred up controversy in his home town of Chicago after dissing Treach from Naughty by Nature.
The rapper was recently pinpointed by a local minister in his home city for using profanity and condoning misogyny, along with a list of other rappers. Billboards were placed throughout Chicago, appealing to people to avoid buying music by rappers such as Twista.
Foxy album pushed back
Incarcerated rapper Foxy Brown and her management team have decided to push back her album until February of 2008. Brooklyns Don Diva which is to be released on Koch Records was supposed to be released this month.
Foxy is currently serving a one year sentence after an altercation with manicurists in a Manhattan nail salon in 2004.
Kanye's Mom to be laid to rest in Oklahoma
The mother of rapper Kanye West, Dr Donda West who died last weekend after complications stemming from plastic surgery will be buried in her home town of Oklahoma City. Dr West had been advised by surgeons not to proceed with the tummy tuck and breast reduction operations due to issues pertaining to her health.
The doctor who actually performed the surgery is under serious fire now from a myriad of Plastic Surgeons for even performing the operation and it has come to light that there have been numerous malpractice suits brought against Dr Jan Adams due to inadequate procedures which have left patients in extreme pain and in one case disabled.
