Jay Z Club in a bit of bother

Rapper Jay Z has had nothing but bad press when it comes to the staff at his flagship 40/40 bar in Manhattan. A court ruled in favor of twenty employees of the midtown sports bar and eatery filing a class-action lawsuit encouraged due to allegations against the club in paying staff over time and failing to pay the minimum wage.

It has come to light since the lawsuit was publicized that the daily manager of the bar, Desiree Gonzalez has since threatened members of staff who have been linked to the suit.

The club has been demanded by a Judge to hand over all documentation in regards to their employees to dispel any further suits and allegations. Jay Z has made no comment in regards to this matter as he continues his European tour.

Devin the Dude

After fifteen years on Houston label Rap-A-Lot, Devin the Dude parted ways with J Prince and all earlier this year.

With a new album in the works, Devin who has been heavily inspired by the late great Richard Prior, has signed on the dotted line with Razor and Tie. Slated for an Autumn release the album titled Landing Gear which will be the sixth from the rapper.

Razor and Tie have put out the highly successful Kidz Bop compilations and is home to R&B sensation Ryan Shaw.

Game to replace Mack 10

It was announced in 2005 that there was to be no more Westside Connection when WC, Ice Cube and Mack 10 parted ways. However rumors are circulating that the trio will be back in effect to work on a new album, with a major change for fans.

Compton rapper Game has been hinted at to be replacing Mack 10. This has yet to be confirmed but according to HipHopDX sources very close to Ice Cube have implied that this is the plan.

50 wins again

As the battle between 50 Cent and the mother of his child, Shaniqua Tompkins continues to progress, a Judge ruled in favor of Curtis Jackson AKA 50 Cent when a request for a change in Counsel was made.

Representing 50 Cent is Bret Kimmel with whom Tompkins had spoken to back in 2005 and due to this consultation, she had believed Kimmel knew too much about her strategy in regards to her fight with the Father of her child.
