Eminem endorses Barack Obama
Like the majority of other rappers and entertainers, the Chicago Senator, Barack Obama has the vote of Eminem.
Eminem who is considered by Vine magazine, the best rapper alive, said that he was happy to vote for Obama.
Various other celebs who have come out in support of the 49 year old Presidential Candidate who has put campaign duties on hold today and tomorrow to go and visit his ailing Grandmother in Hawaii are Halle Berry, TI, Bow Wow, Alicia Keys and of course Sean Combs who has been encouraging the younger demographic to use their vote rather than waste it.
Max B free from Byrd Gang
Max B was celebrating yesterday as he was freed of his contract with Byrd Gang, the label headed up by Jim Jones (Dipset).
The two have had dispute after dispute during the last year about Max B not being paid for writing material for Jim Jones, which have encouraged B to record various tracks voicing his disapproval of his ‘Capo’s’ attitude.
A court ruled yesterday that due to Max B not being a citizen of the US the laws of US citizens don’t apply therefore preventing any further legal action from Jones.
Max B did however say in an interview that he will now be ready to open the flood gates on everything he has gone through because of Jim Jones.
American Music Awards
It is the usual bunch of suspects heading up the nominees and taking to the stage at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles next month.
Heading up the nominees with a staggering five is songstress Alicia Keys who will also be headlining the event along side Kanye West.
Kanye West will be going head on with Lil Wayne in the same categories which has been the case during all award shows for the last couple of years.
The show which will be aired on November 23rd live from the Nokia Theatre is being hosted by Jimmy Kimmel was first broadcast in 1973 to compete with the prestigious Grammy Awards.
Lil Wayne back in court in December
The case against Lil Wayne stemming from an arrest made in the Summer of last year after a show in NYC is not looking good after his assistant took to the stand. The assistant Terry Bourgeois told prosecutors that he occasionally saw marijuana and guns on the rappers tour bus he also insisted that he had never seen the rapper in possession of a gun, which police had implied resulting in the arrest of the rapper.
If Lil Wayne is found guilty of the charges brought against him he could face up to 3.5 years in prison. His legal representation think the charges should be dropped after NYPD lied saying that they could, when having pulled over the bus, smell marijuana and insisted on searching the bus.
