Lil Wayne fans to be refunded

After disappointing various concert goers due to his lack of attendance at scheduled shows, promoters have finally had to acknowledge the thousands of fans thanks to the New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo has demanded that the promoter Ed Strickland pay back the people who purchased tickets in good faith expecting to see the New Orleans rapper appear at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, Upstate new York in October.

Strickland is still trying to secure another date for the platinum selling performer to appear even though the rescheduled date had not been honored due to alleged scheduling conflicts.

Kanye almost makes Gold

After selling close to a million copies in his first week last year when he released Graduation, his third album, Kanye West has had to settle for literally half that number with his recent project.

Released on Monday of last week to coincide with the Thanksgiving Holiday shopping period, 808s and Heartbreak, the auto tune driven fourth album from the rapper/producer sold 443,000 copies this week, putting Kanye at the top of the Billboard chart.

Kanye’s toughest competition was expected to come from rock legends Guns N Roses who released Chinese Democracy at the same time, their first album in over 15 years. They took over the number two spot on the chart putting last weeks Number One from Beyonce I am ...Sasha Fierce in the number three spot.

Kanye’s label mate at Def jam, Ludacris who finally released his Theater of the Mind album sold 213,000 entering the charts at number 5. There had been speculation that Def Jam had failed to ship insufficient copies of the Atlanta rappers sixth album but these had been denied by the label.

Chris Brown is the most wanted

The R&B singer/boyfriend of Rihanna has been awarded Music Choices Most Demanded Video Artist. Chris Brown who won the Artist of the Year award at the prestigious American Music Awards in Los Angeles last month beat out Lil Wayne yet again thanks to his devoted fan base.

Brown locked in 43 million views on Music Choice, which allows viewers the chance to watch various music clips and videos using their satellite providers in the US.

Brown obviously beat out his girlfriend Rihanna who was another possibility to win the Most Demanded Video Artist which was presented in New York on Monday.

M.C Breed buried

The Michigan MC Breed was laid to rest yesterday after succumbing to kidney failure last month. Breed who worked with some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop throughout his career in music was only 37 years old.

His life was celebrated by over 200 people including super producer Jazze Pha and West coast rapper D.O.C.

His love for his home town of Flint, Michigan didn’t go unnoticed as his family were given the Key to the City along with news that the Midwest city would celebrate a day in his honor.
