In today's Daily Rap, DMC gets involved in reality tv, there is a change of name for T.I.'s movie, more legal issues for R.Kelly and Rick Ross is pushed further back.

DMC involved in Real Reality TV

One third of the legendary Queens trio, Darry ‘DMC’ Daniels is working on a reality show called The Kings of Rap.

The show will feature unsigned artists trying to get heard and will give them the task of creating music that fails to glorify violence, degrade women or include cursing. The premise of the show is to promote consciousness as opposed to negativity we often see surrounding Hip-Hop today.

"This is a time when everyone is talking about change and we as a country have the opportunity to make a difference," DMC explained. "We can start by changing what we have to say to each other, and what we say to our kids through music." The show is being shot in and around NYC and a network home for The Kings of Rap has yet to be determined.

Change of Name for TI Movie

Bone Deep the movie produced by and starring Atlanta rapper TI has allegedly undergone a change of name due to various factors.

What was Bone Deep is now called Takers and is expected to be released in 2010. The change comes due to the sexual and pornographic innuendos taken from the original title which came under fire.

The movie also stars Chris Brown who is currently under investigation by the LAPD for domestic battery. It is unclear if Brown will be dropped from promoting the movie due to all the negative media attention he is getting right now but with a cast such as Idris Elba, Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, TI and Hayden Christensen it is highly unlikely that the film will suffer.

More Legal Issues for R Kelly

Just as one highly publicized door closes on multi platinum recording artist R Kelly closes, another one opens.

A private investigator who was employed by the singer to uncover incriminating video tapes linked to the highly publicized child pornography case Kelly was involved in is suing him for $300,000. Charles Freeman filed charges in a Missouri court last week against Kelly for unpaid fees.

The PI is also seeking damages and interest on the amount.

Rick Ross Pushed Back

Label reps have confirmed that the highly anticipated album from Miami Rick Ross who is currently embroiled in lyrical warfare with 50 Cent will be pushed back.

The release date for Deeper than Rap which features appearances by John Legend, Mary J Blige and Avery Storm has yet to be given a release date.

Rumors are circulating that another face off similar to the one seen on September 11 2007 between Kanye and 50 is on the cards between Rick Ross and 50 Cent who has also to confirm an official date for the release of Before I Self Destruct.

The issues pertaining to 50 Cent’s album release date are being linked to Eminem’s come back officering, Relapse , which will see shelf life before 50 Cent.
