Gucci Mane to be Released

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane will be released from prison this weekend after serving a six month sentence for breaking his probation agreement.

He was sent to jail in September last year after completing only 25 hours of an agreed 600 hours of community service for a assault charge which had already been previously reduced.

He will be welcomed home by various other entertainers from his So Icy label home where they will record a new mixtape to celebrate his home coming.

Philadelphia Birthday Party ends in Shoot Out

A birthday party for former Def jam Recording artist Beanie Sigel was interrupted by gunfire on Saturday night at local hotspot Club Solo.

A 24 year old young man was shot as he was leaving the bathroom. Tyheem Baker is said to be in a critical condition after being shot in the chest by two men who he is alleged to have argued with earlier in the night.

Local police departments are investigating how the venue had allowed guns past security especially after law enforcement had conducted a sweep of the place earlier in the evening to ensure no weapons were being carried. Beanie Sigel has yet to comment on the shooting.

Atlanta Reunited

The home leg of TI’s Farewell Tour saw the rapper make a public mends with fellow rapper Shawty Lo who he had allegedly had differences with.

Bringing the D4L member on stage wowed the crowed who had shown up to bid their favorite rapper a fond farewell before he begins his one year and one day sentence for gun charges.

The so called TI and Shawty Lo ‘beef’ came to a head in November at the Third Dirty Awards in Atlanta when various members of the rappers entourages got into an altercation which resulted in various arrests and people being tasered by police. There had been reports that TI had only made up with the rapper as a publicity stunt, but TI shot those allegations down by saying “"See, I'm a grown man," he said in an interview. "These situations are not that major for me...I never even considered it to be a big deal to begin with.

“So, something like that, I just didn't do it for publicity...I'm not doing it for the purposes of taking pictures, and for people online to talk about it and people on TV to talk about it. As a man, I don't mean anybody no harm, I wish everybody the best, I ain't never been a hater, I congratulate success, and I move on and keep doing what I'm doing....That word 'beef' is used too loosely, to me...To me, man, if I don't mean you no harm, we can't be beefing'. If I see you, and I don't attack you, it ain't no beef, and vice versa. Everything else is just entertainment to me."

U2 Applaud Kanye West & will.i.am

In a recent interview with MTV, iconic rock quartet U2 gave props to Kanye West, explaining that they believe the Chicago rapper/producer and fashionista are what they deem ‘the whole equation.’

"I think with Kanye, his understanding of what music, about what fashion, about what politics is — they are all each other," Bono explained to MTV. "Understanding the whole equation is understanding where your song sits in the world. Kanye knows where it sits."

U2 who also commended Jay Z on his lyrics and ability to make records are at work in the studio with Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am, who is said to be working with them on their next album. The BEP member said in a past interview “I would love to do something with them. I

t that ever happens it would be a dream come true.” Well it looks like that dream is coming true as Bono commented on will.i.am saying ‘he is a very important voice’ while Adam Clayton, the bands bass player was in awe of will’s work ethic.
