Pete Doherty's Blood On Sale…

A bloody self-portrait of British rocker Pete Doherty is up for sale at $37,500 (£25,000).

The macabre sketch was created by The Libertines star in 2010 for a fan called Alistair - using his own blood. The devotee approached Doherty backstage at a concert and asked the rock star if he could help him make some money. Doherty offered to paint something for him.

A week later, the blood portrait - signed 'For Alistair, love Peter' - arrived though the post. Bosses at Paul Fraser Collectibles will handle the sale, according to NME.com.
