Wild Beasts are to release the follow up to last year’s critically acclaimed debut Limbo, Panto, on 3rd August 2009. Two Dancers will follow the release of the single, Hooting & Howling on 20th July 2009.
Hooting & Howling is equal parts statement of intent and the celebration of a state of mind. A staring match between Hayden Thorpe's falsetto at its most lascivious and Benny Little's "equally elegant and ugly" (to quote the song) guitar, it builds into a tangible sense of pleasure and chaos.
Wild Beasts have made a record of earthly pleasures that sounds thrillingly widescreen, open and in awe of life; equally intoxicated and disturbed by the possibilities of pleasure. Two Dancers is a streamlined, minimalist and user friendly Wild Beasts, moving as God had designed them to, with equal grace and gusto, equally elegant and ugly.
The four-piece will be playing live throughout the Summer including a special show at the beautiful Hoxton Hall in London on 6th August; full dates are as follows:
