In a short period of time, School is Cool powered their way from being a regular start-up band to one of the most exciting and foremost acts in their native country of Belgium.
SiC now lead their charge to a wider music-loving audience with their debut UK & Worldwide single, 'The World Is Gonna End Tonight', released on the highly respected ‘Fandango’ indie label - a record company synonymous with seeking out the best promising indie talent.
The track has already been championed on national UK radio by important influencers such as Steve Lamacq (6Music), Huw Stevens (BBC R1) and John Kennedy (XFM).
After winning Belgium’s biggest music contest ‘Humo's Rock Rally’ in 2010, the Antwerp-based quintet bolted head-first in to a life of tour buses, sweaty venues and muddy fields, embarking on an epic schedule of live shows - playing more than 60 festivals all over Europe in that same year.
The hard graft paid off, as their debut single release in Belgium "New Kids In Town" was one of the biggest hits of that year and reached #1 across numerous national radio playlists.
Relentless gigs and touring has earned them large fanbase and a slew of industry awards, accolades and all-round adulation - capped nicely with a Top 10 album, which went gold in its first week of release in Belgium.
