Money
"Weirdly, though, my accountant says my outgoing money hasn’t changed since before I got a record deal. When I’m in swanky places, someone else usually pays!"

I’d like to buy a house! Full-on grandma chintz! I’d also quite like some international success too

Impulse Buys
Re what she splurges on - "Mainly shoes and vintage clothes. I don’t tend to buy from designer shops – I borrow instead. I have a one-bed flat that’s basically a wardrob with a bed in it, so I have yard sales and sell everything off really cheap, which is liberating"

Her Album
Re her new album - "It’s about taking tragic, sad situations and turning them into something that makes you stronger and morehopeful. The situations and feelings I’ve written about are so current and raw – I feel quite exposed and get quite tearful when I hear some of the songs"

Emotion
Re why she puts everything out there - "I just can’t not because I am super-emotional and sensitive"

Ambitions
What she wants from her album - "I’d like to buy a house! Full-on grandma chintz! I’d also quite like some international success too"

Touring With Prince
Re supporting Prince - "I was on an anxiety trip. He sat on a chair on stage watching while I performed. Then he invited me back to his hotel room to talk about how I could improve and offered me some lemon drizzle cake!"

Booze?
Her nickname - "My family nickname is Booze. Not because of alcohol. Since I was a baby my mum used to go “woopsy woopsy boozy woozy into the car” and it just stuck that I’d be “Booze of Boozal.” I’m regretting telling you that..."
