I’m just expanding really rather than moving into a totally different thing, obviously it’s a gamble for anyone, not just me, and of course its nerve-racking but it’s also just as exciting so it’s going to be a long road.

That’s one of the reasons I took so long to make the record because I didn’t want to be a rushed thing, I wanted to take my time and make a career out of music as well as everything else I want to do.

So does that mean you will be gracing our television screens again sometime soon?

Absolutely, there’s lots coming up, I’ve just finished a new series for ITV and I’m just about to start a new project which you will be hearing about very shortly I imagine, which is acting based. So there’s quite a lot going on in that side of things, so it’s quite an exciting time for me.

You come from a family of actors, how do they feel about you making becoming a musician?

They’re my parents so obviously they’re really supportive of everything I do and it’s great to have that support from them.

How easy was it to make the transition from spending your days learning scripts to writing music?

Writing music is something I have always done since I was young and obviously when you’re writing for an album which will be available for people to buy and hear and judge then obviously there’s the added feeling of wanting to make sure it’s great but its very much second nature for me to want to make music so that’s how I did it.

I didn’t want to feel like I was going into this totally different world and it certainly didn’t feel like that. The music industry is an entirely different world don’t get me wrong, it’s a crazy place, but as far as making the album was concerned it just felt like a natural progression really.
