Female First got the opportunity to chat to Amanda about her passion not only for animals but for music, what we should expect from her going forward and more. Read on to find out what she had to say.

For those who may not yet have heard your music, how best would you describe yourself as an artist?

I would describe myself as a pop artist who focuses on inspiring others and finding ways to make a difference for the better.

You're releasing new single 'Jealousy' and raising funds through the sales of that for animal shelters with Cadence & Cause - why did you choose this organisation to work with?

I chose this organization because I'm very passionate about animals and I want to help them as much as I can where they can't help themselves.

Have you always had a love for animals and pets?

Absolutely! Growing up my family had dogs, cats, horses, etc... And I've always loved spending time with animals and learning about them.

Can you tell us a little bit about your upcoming EP and the creative process behind that record?

I'm really excited about this upcoming EP because it's the first time I'm working with Chase Manhattan of Night Argent. He is a genius and so much fun to work with. Some of the songs are written by my good friend Matt Bacnis and Chase and I are working on a couple of co-writes, so it's a bit of a newer sound for me but I had a lot of control over the decision making.

If you could work with anybody going forward on new material, who would you choose and why?

If I could work with anyone out there, it would have to be Ryan Tedder of Onerepublic. He is my songwriting idol and I would love to be able to co-write with him!

How important is it for you to maintain creative control over the work you produce?

It is very important to me because I want to stay true to who I am as an artist. I love getting advice from people, but in the end I have to go with what I feel and who I am.

What are some of your biggest goals and aspirations for your career?

My biggest goal is definitely to inspire others to follow their dreams. I would love to be able to continue making music, travel, and make an impact through my voice.

Finally, what should we expect from you in the coming weeks and months?

Keep an eye out for a music video for my new single "Jealousy" as well as announcements for my EP and another tour!
