For those yet to hear some of your music, how best would you describe yourself as an artist?

I would say my music is emotive and anthemic. They are powerful songs that have come from dark moments looking towards the light.

When did you fall in love with the world of music and decide to go down this career path?

My dad was a singer and my mother was a dance teacher, so from a young age I was always wanting to perform. It wasn't until I was 13 that I really knew I wanted to follow this path and write and perform my own music.

Where do you draw influence and inspiration from for your work?

I always seem to write from experiences that have affected me greatly; honestly it's mostly negative ones. It's a cathartic process writing about events and using the emotions from them to create the music.

Who would you love to work with on material in the future and why?

I would love to work with Stevie Nicks. I have always been a big fan of her music and style. She has a way of telling story that drives the emotion across in such a transparent and honest way.

You're also really into your fashion - what are your main tips for other men who may be struggling to style themselves?

Confidence is key. Focus on what works for you and most importantly what you're comfortable [in], then go from there. Fashion is an expression of who you are so stay true to that.

What is it about the world of fashion that you love?

Viewing the creativity in another form completely different to music. It's such a great expression of someone's creativity. I love seeing how fashion evolves and changes constantly but still has such strong roots to the past.

How do you find fusing the worlds of music and fashion?

I think that they inspire one another in a huge way. A great thing about music and fashion is that they have always existed side by side. Music enhances fashion and fashion creates such an important part of the visuals for the music.

What do you make of artists such as Lady Gaga who have fused those worlds together in the past?

I think what she has done is great. She really brought Avant-garde and wearable art into the mainstream culture.

You performed at the 1883 Magazine Party and at Soho House in New York and London - what were those experiences like?

Performing at the 1883 party was great! Held for designer Malan Breton. I waled in his show in NYC Fashion Week which was an amazing experience. It was great [to] have my music be a part of it all.

What can you tell us about the creative process behind your track 'Wanted'?

It was a song I wrote after going through an experience of unrequited love. 'Wanted' is a song about how you feel going through that. The anger, frustration and desperation to make something work that you know you no longer have control over.

Do you have any definitive aims or goals for your career going forward?

At this stage, my focus is on touring. Getting out there and playing to all the fans of my music and sharing the emotions live.

What should we expect from you in the coming weeks and months?

Soon I will be releasing my first album, which I finished a week or so ago. So I am very excited about the release of that in the coming months!
