We got the opportunity to put some questions to Fabian about his sound, the future and much more - find out what he had to say below...

For those who may not yet have heard your music, how best would you describe yourself as an artist?

I would describe myself as a fresh new artist with many different influences. I am also a producer.

Where do you draw influence or inspiration from for your material?

As a new artist I don't feel like I should be compared to anyone as I'm very much my own person, creating my own music. Growing up I listened to a variety of different artists, including Biggie, Mobb Deep, Giggs, Usher, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, More Fire Crew. Different stuff.

When did your love of music begin?

I've always been around music since I was born, as I was exposed to a lot of music by family. Being in and out of the studio in my father's sessions was also a big part.

The music industry's a tough one to break into - how do you prepare for something like that?

Learning from my father, who is very experienced in the music industry, being an artist himself, producer and songwriter, I've started to understand the mental strength needed to keep going no matter what happens.

How difficult would you say this career path is in terms of making a name for yourself?

Very difficult, in the sense that there are thousands of people trying to reach similar goals but you can't worry about others. It may also be the case where exposure is the problem.

Creatively, how much control do you like to have over the work you produce?

All of it. You have to be happy and content with every aspect of the work you make, as it is a reflection of yourself. You have to be confident about everything you put out.

If you could choose anybody to collaborate with going forward, who would you choose and why?

There are tons of artists I'd love to do something with. Right now Bonkaz as he's a very progressive artist, who is not afraid to experiment. The combination would be crazy.

Do you have definitive aims or goals for your career?

I just want to carry on making my music, and reach as many people as possible. That's all you can do.

Where do you hope to be by this time next year?

Still improving and creating. Working with more artists and collaborating.

What should we expect from you in the coming weeks and months?

I have a track featuring Mic Righteous that will be dropping very soon. An EP will also be on the way and much more.

Fabian's track featuring MIC Righteous will be releasing online mid-November.
