Adele's 21 goes four-times platinum in US

Adele's global hit album 21 has been certified quadruple platinum in the US.

Hours before Adele was expected to lead the Grammy Awards nominations, the Someone Like You singer's hit 2011 album saild past the four million sales mark to further distance itself from other big sellers in America.

The album hit the charts in February this year and took just a month to pass one million sales.
