Adele undergoes throat surgery

Adele has undergone throat surgery in Boston.

Dr Steven Zeitels, who performed micro-surgery on Steven Tyler in 2006, hopes the British singer will be hitting the high nots again following the op on Monday.

The 23-year-old was forced to scrap some US dates following a throat problem earlier in the year.

She agreed to surgery to prevent a possible rupture from a benign polyp, according to the LA Times.

Adele is expected to make a full recovery.
