Rockers Aerosmith have settled a lawsuit filed by fans in Hawaii over a cancelled concert - by offering to play a free gig there.

The Walk This Way hitmakers have been embroiled in the feud since they scrapped a planned show in Maui on 26 September 2007.

And fans who planned to attend subsequently launched a legal action - claiming the band cancelled the date to focus on a more lucrative gig in Chicago, Illinois earlier that month.

The band is about the music. So they are glad to be able to resolve this in a way that really focuses on connecting or reconnecting the people of Hawaii with the band and its musicattorneys for Aerosmith

But now attorneys for the group have settled the case by announcing they will reimburse all the concert-goers' travel costs, handling fees and other expenses incurred by the cancellation.

They will also play a show in Maui, giving all original ticket-holders free entry.

Aerosmith's lawyer, Jay Handlin, revealed the rockers are happy with the settlement "The band is about the music. So they are glad to be able to resolve this in a way that really focuses on connecting or reconnecting the people of Hawaii with the band and its music".

A date for the gig has yet to be announced, but it is believed the show will take place in September or October (09) after the band wraps up its North America tour.
