Rockers Aerosmith were forced to halt their show in Missouri on Wednesday night (10Jun09) due to an intense electric storm.
Lightning lashed the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis shortly after the group's support act 3 Doors Down had finished their set, and promoters opted to empty the venue and stall Aerosmith's show until the storm had passed.
One concertgoer says, "It was a smart move; they knew the storm was coming and so 3 Doors Down went on early and then the venue was evacuated - just in case."

Aerosmith eventually took the stage an hour after their scheduled start.
The St. Louis show was the band's first on its new world tour, during which they'll be joined by ZZ Top.
