Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer will celebrate his 59th birthday with 20 wounded U.S. veterans of conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan after inviting them to the band's Virginia show on 21 June (09).
The Marines and sailors have been invited to the Nissan Pavilion show in Bristow as his personal guests.
I can't think of a better gift to receive on my birthday than to have the privilege of sharing a night of our music
They're all patients at the National Naval Medical Center and are currently receiving treatment and therapy for their injuries. Some are single leg amputees; others have suffered blast injuries, burns, and traumatic brain injuries.
Kramer says, "I can't think of a better gift to receive on my birthday than to have the privilege of sharing a night of our music with these brave and heroic warriors who have been wounded in the service of our country."
