Tyler Broke Shoulder in Stage Fall

Steven Tyler is nursing a broken shoulder following his fall from the stage during an Aerosmith show in South Dakota on Wednesday night (05Aug09).

Tyler took a tumble after mistiming a dance step while performing at the sell-out show at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

He was airlifted to the Rapid City Regional Hospital in the early hours of Thursday (06Aug09), suffering from head, neck and shoulder injuries.

The wife of guitarist Joe Perry told fans on her Twitter.com page on Thursday that Tyler received stitches in his head and back - and had also broken his shoulder in the tumble.

Billie Perry writes, "He hit his head and back. No concussion, stitchesin head and back near shoulder. Broken shoulder. Yes he is very sore. Wewere all worried".

A spokesperson for the band announced that Aerosmith's planned show in Winnipeg, Canada on Friday (07Aug09) has been pushed back to allow Tyler time to recover. And Perry has hinted that more shows could be affected.

She adds, "Steven will see his own Doctor tonight or tomorrow. No word on the tour when it will resume should know more very soon regarding this".

Meanwhile in other news Liv Tyler maintains her good looks by taking beauty tips from her rock star dad Steven Tyler.

The Lord of the Rings actress has discovered plenty of skincare secrets from her mum, Bebe Buell, and grandmother, who are both former models.

But it's her Aerosmith singer dad that Tyler turns to for alternative beauty guidance.

She says, "My mum and gran were models and took such good care of their skin I couldn't help but learn. My dad is also full of great beauty advice, like wear your perfume in your belly button and on the soles of your feet so it becomes part of you."
