Alex James Invents Snack Machine

Alex James can add inventor to his resume - he's designed a machine to make grilled cheese snacks.

The entrepreneurial bassist has become a famous cheesemaker in his native U.K. and is even launching his own range of savoury dairy products through supermarket chain Asda.

He's also planning to stage a music and food festival on his farm in the English countryside next month (Sep11), and he'll use the event to unveil his latest work - a device to make grilled cheese on toast.

James tells British TV host Melanie Sykes, "I will be cooking cheese. I've invented a sort of automatic cheese-on-toast machine which I will be premiering".
