Amy MacDonald

Amy Macdonald, one of Europe’s biggest selling singer songwriters, returned this summer with a brand new album ‘Life In A Beautiful Light’.

The album is riding high in the charts around Europe and now Amy Macdonald is set to announce her first tour of 2012, starting in the UK on 27th October.

The dates will be available exclusively from www.amymacdonald.co.uk/tickets at 9am on Wednesday 25th July and then on general sale from Friday 27th July (www.gigsandtours.com). This gives Amy’s fans an exclusive window to get the best seats first!

The next single from ‘Life In A Beautiful Light’ is the beautiful Pride. Pride is a classic Macdonald track that 50,000 Scottish football fans will claim as their own - it could be an anthem for the Olympics, but in fact it was penned about the singer performing at Hampden Park.

‘Life In A Beautiful Light’ was recorded between ‘State of the Ark’ Studios in Richmond and Mayfield Studio in Surrey and produced by long term collaborator and manager, Pete Wilkinson and mixed by the legendary Bob Clearmountain.

Amy Macdonald has sold over 4million albums worldwide and has played to over ½ million fans over the last few years.

Her debut album This Is The Life charted at #1 in 5 countries and her second A Curious Thing hit the Top 10 in 10 countries across Europe.

Her debut was a phenomenal success across Europe and received the following Awards: 5 x Platinum in Switzerland, 4xPlatinum in Germany, 3 x Platinum in France and Netherlands, 2 x Platinum in Belgium and UK, Platinum in Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Poland, Spain and Sweden and Gold in Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Norway and Russia.

This Is The Life is one of the top 20 best selling albums of all time in the UK by a UK female solo artist and was one of the Top 10 best selling albums in Europe in 2008. Also in 2011, Amy won the coveted Echo award for best international female beating Adele, Katy Perry, Pink and Rihanna.
