Photographs of the star shopping for alcohol just hours before the first cancelled gig prompted rumours she wasn't actually ill.

Now British newspaper the Daily Mirror alleges Winehouse refused to perform after ending her relationship with chef Alex Jones-Donelly.

A newspaper source spotted Winehouse drinking in a hotel near the venue on Thursday, when she was meant to be onstage.

The party-loving star has cited Jones-Donelly as a calming influence on her in the past.
