Arcade Fire shortlisted for Polaris Prize

Arcade Fire's Grammy Award-winning album The Suburbs is up for another major accolade, it has been shortlisted for Canada's coveted Polaris Prize.

The group's hit album is the favourtie to win the $30,000 prize money when the award for Canada's best release is announced later in the year.

Other contenders include Austra, Ron Sexsmith, Colin Stetson and Timber Timbre.

F**ked Up frontman Damian Abraham announced the shortlist in Toronto on Wednesday
