Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and her rocker husband Pete Wentz have become parents for the first time after welcoming a baby boy.The pop star, 24, gave birth to son Bronx Mowgli Wentz on Thursday (20Nov08) night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!

The baby weighed in at seven pounds, 11 ounces (3.23 kilograms). A spokesperson for the couple tells People.com, "Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!" Simpson-Wentz and the Fall Out Boy bassist, 29, announced the pregnancy in May (08) - just a few weeks after they were married in an intimate ceremony at her parents' Los Angeles home.
