THE BLACK CROWES REPLACE DRUMMERSouthern rockers THE BLACK CROWES have changed drummers again - just
seven dates into their reunion tour.The WISER TIME band, fronted by brothers CHRIS and RICH ROBINSON,
kicked off their comeback with a residence at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom
last month (MAR05) and have now decided to replace drummer BILL DUBROW.Into his place steps veteran sticksman JEFF SIPE, who has played in numerous
experimental projects including AQUARIUM RESCUE UNIT.Sipe will tour with The Black Crowes when the group resume their reunion road
trip on Thursday (21APR05), writes website JAMBANDS.COM. Original drummer
STEVE GORMAN quit in 2001 when the band went on hiatus. Alongside vocalist Chris Robinson and guitarist Rich Robinson, the current
Black Crowes line-up includes longtime keyboardist EDDIE HAWRYSCH, bassist
SVEN PIPIEN and lead guitarist MARC FORD, who previously played with the
group in what many view to be their classic period, from 1992 to 1997.
