Bloc Party End Hiatus for Christmas Snapshot

British rockers Bloc Party served up a festive treat for fans over Christmas - the quartet ended its 16-month hiatus.

The celebrated band, fronted by Kele Okereke, posted a studio snapshot of the get-together on the band's Twitter.com page with the accompanying message: "Merry Christmas from the Bloc".

There's no confirmation that the reunion will herald a full comeback. The band announced a hiatus last year (09) and Okereke has since released an acclaimed solo album, while guitarist Russell Lissack has become a touring member of Irish rockers Ash.
