Folk legend Bob Dylan has cleared the way for a historic collaboration - insisting he would be happy to record a duet with Sir Paul McCartney.
Last year (08) the former Beatle announced that working with Dylan is one of his major ambitions, hailing the Blowin' In The Wind hitmaker as a musical "genius".
And McCartney's dreams of a collaboration with Dylan could be about to come true - the notoriously reclusive star has admitted he would be open to the idea of a duet.
As you can imagine, it would be a pretty major thing if it went ahead
Dylan tells Rolling Stone magazine, "That would be exciting - to do something with Paul. But, you know, your paths have to cross for something like that to make sense".
And McCartney's representatives are already working on getting the pairtogether.
A spokesman for the star says, "We heard this offer this morning and we're trying to let Paul know about it. I should think he would be very interested in hearing about it. As you can imagine, it would be a pretty major thing if it went ahead".
